I'm reading a lot of talk about having 2 or three 9800 GTXs instead of 1 9800gx but that would mean a different m'board. Plus there's all sorts of rave vids about the GTX 280 on YouTube (I couldn't beleive how many reviewers and vids there are for this stuff up there!)

yeah, but it supports more than 3.25GB RAM and eventually will be the one to go with. PLus, I've not got hundreds of peripherals and stuff that need to work with it.

I'm sure you have considered this but I believe the x64 version of Vista still has some driver issues?

Hmm... Save yourself £400 and get a Q9450, then spend half of what you saved on some watercooling and jack it up to waaay beyond the 3Ghz the QX will give you. 3.6Ghz is apparently stable with air cooling on these, and 4 or more with water. Scrap the DDR3 and get 4Gb (or even 8Gb since you're using 64bit Vista) of DDR2 PC8500 1066Mhz RAM. Get a P45 or X48 motherboard from Asus, perhaps the P5Q3 Deluxe. I'd choose Samsung HDDs instead of Seagate, as they're cheaper, quieter and allegedly faster (according to PC Pro).

iPhone 3G? I chose the N95 8Gb instead of the original because of 4 things: lower price, better camera, GPS and 3G. Apple have fixed 3 of those, maybe 2 and a half (it's still quite expensive), so yes, I reckon I'd be tempted next time round. Of course, it's 8 months before I get another phone, so someone else will have likely come out with something else by then.
