Is the aluminium Macbook really worth £210 more?
I've just had a look at the Macbook lineup.. It's about 3 years since I had a new laptop and my current 1g macbook is starting to show its age.
This Macbook comparison highlights the differences between the Aluminium and the White model. Why is the Aluminium one £210 more?!
Spotify
Hi Guys,
I've got a few invites to Spotify. If anyone's interested email me.
So far very impressed with the amount of music and only have to suffer through an 10 second advert every few songs.
Cheers

Doctors at some of the UK's busiest music festivals say a young patient's ability to use a mobile may be a good test of how ill they are.
Because
The "psychomotor co-ordination" needed to text required the brain to be working at a reasonable level, he said.
Kids these days.....
"Obviously, we did not check to make sure the texts made sense - but this might not be easy, given that many of them appear to make no sense at the best of times."
iTunes 8 – Genius
I downloaded iTunes 8 last night in order to try out Genius. It sounds like Pandora but without licencing issues.. Great! Not sure about the privacy policy, but that's for another day.
However in order to even turn on Genius you have to sign into your iTunes account, which isn't such a big issue, but then it appears that you have to provide credit card details too.. It seems I'm not going to try it after all. There's no way I'm giving my credit card details unless I am actually buying something. Unfortunately for apple it seems they've got it backwards. Without being able to use Genius it's unlikely I'll ever buy anything from iTunes.
Nevermind. As the only music discovery site I am aware of that works in not-USA, I quite like the61. Suggestions welcome for any others!
I have broadband. Now what?!
Hmm. After exactly a year without broadband I have got myself reconnected.
Unfortunately I don't know what to do with it now! I've spend a year connecting via my mobile in a 2G area: Think 56 Kbps modem, occasionally peaking at 5.9 KB / second, though most of the time getting less than 1. I get better connectivity on the (above ground part of the) underground and on the M6.
So now everything I've got used to doing at home can be done in ten minutes rather than more than an hour, I found myself just sitting there last night thinking, "what did I actually used to do on the internet?". I checked out youtube: how do people spend so much time there? I headed over to facebook to see what's changed: I remembered the original reason I never really used it. I flicked up Front Row and started watching film trailers: That's actually quite entertaining. However, there must be more!
Is instant messaging still used? I prefer the phone!
Are there any decent (legal) music and film download sites yet?
What do you do on your broadband?!
Answers on a postcard or in the comments!
Cheers
