Andy’s blog goes “community” style

About

After numerous host changes, theme changes, appearance changes and any other change imaginable, one thing remained constant, the participants. So, we’re going for the biggest change of the lot here at AndrewBlackburn.co.uk After trying forums, which were popular as a side note to the blog, I got the feeling that this is the main attraction to the few regulars around here, namely Wob, Dan, Ben, Neil and I. A place where ideas can be brought forward and discussed (we’ve covered everything from cars to phones and even macs!), fun stuff that has been stumbled upon (great site by the way) can be shared, personal events, experiences, etc can be posted for all to enjoy/laugh at/etc.

So this is the concept, instead of sharing each of these ideas in a forum, I’m adding author accounts for them all right here on the blog. “Threads” become “posts”, “replies” become “comments”, and Robert is your mother’s brother. New participants can sign up and also take part, and those who become regulars (each application will be dealt with individually) will be able to post “threads” of their own…

Why? Firstly, because it will be nice to keep everything in one place, and secondly, because it is easier to keep everything in one place.

Any features you want, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do. We all know that this isn’t the next Facebook killer, but it’s a nicer, less spammy place to share and share alike :D

Ohh, and before I forget, all “Authors” (those able to make posts, etc) must complete a “witty yet informative” questionnaire for their profiles… TTFN!
